The Bristol channel can be challenging, but some beautiful places to visit in your new boat.

Just joined the forum (thanks) as contemplating making an offer on a Sun Odyssey 32 lifting keel, boat looks sound, but have no experience of in-mast furling, or a swing-keel on anything bigger than a wayfarer. Anything we should look out for, have been looking for advice re servicing of the furling system, thanks

Also worth doing a forum search on both mainsail furling and lift/swing keels. I do not have personal experience of either, but provided they are well maintained both seem to be reliable. Good luck in your search, you can also place a wanted ad. Malcolm

Hello everyone,
I am very pleased to have found this forum. Last year we bought a SO 42DS (built 2006), berthed on the Med coast of France. It is our first boat, so a steep learning curve, but one we are enjoying.

Hi, I purchased a 2015 Jeanneau 409 Sun Odyssey in St. Lucia during October of 2019 and sailed it to my home in Great Neck, NY. It is the largest boat I've ever owned, also the most modern. She is wonderful to sail and perfect for blue water sailing on the open ocean. I look forward to participating in the Forum with you all.

Hello All.
I'm a lifelong sailor and purchased my 2003 SO35 2 years ago. She is a lovely sailing boat and I sail and teach ASA sailing courses on her, based in Meaford Ontario Canada. This forum has been a great help to me and would like to thank all the contributors and administrators for putting on such a great resource for other Jeanneau owners. Hopefully I can also add a little to the knowledge base here over time.
