Hi everyone. Very pleased to join the forum!
I have been sailing mostly in The Ionian for several years and last year bought a SO 36.2 which I have been renovating and sailing. I hope to spend 6 months a year on her (when we are allowed back!) and to extend my cruising ground to the Peloponnese and Aegean. I'm in the process of getting a long stay visa, to convert to a residence permit when I get there this year.
I'd be happy to share experiences of renovating, and to learn from other owners. Also how the new regulations applying to UK flagged boats will be applied in practice. And to talk to other owners who sail Greek waters.
Roll on May!

Exciting, we are hoping to get to Greece too, but doubt it will be before 2023. There has been quite a lot on regulations eg 90/180 day and VAT issues in recent posts. Worth doing a search on here. Always looking for Hints and Tips articles too!

Hello,
I was trying to create a post, as I have done in the past, but can't seem to do so anymore. I was going to say that I notice that the recent Jeanneau boats no longer have a mainsail traveler. Why is that?

Why is that? This should help jeanneau.proboards.com/thread/2483/make-first-postYou will get lots of comments when you do post your question. In my view it is because it is cheaper, but also effective and now widely used on raceboats.

Hello, it’s great to find such an active forum for Jeanneau boats.
I’m not currently an owner but I’m planning on purchasing my first boat this year and the Sun Odyssey 24.2 is at the top of my list. I didn’t find anything in the search results for this boat but if anyone has advice I’d love to hear it 😃.
Thank you, Philip

There is more on our main website www.jeanneau-owners.comI don't know anything about the SO24.2, but it is a pretty looking boat. Good luck in your search. You can post a wanted advert on here free too.

Hello Everyone from Istanbul, I have a MF855 2015 model, 2*150 Mercury 4S since about a year. It is a wonderful boat. I bought this one after a QS 640 which was a big revolutionary step for öe in terms of size.I liked the quality of my old Quicksilver also so no question on that part at all. Great boat. We are using our boat mostly in the Marmara Sea. I like going to the sea in all 4 seasons as long as the weather is OK. I have reviewed several posts on the forum. Very useful and many thanks to organizers also. Wishing good health for everyone.

I am a new member to this forum and we sail our 2001 Sun Odyssey 37 on Lake Michigan out of Racine, WI. We need a new line for our refrigerator and we need the cubic feet of the refrigerator in order to purchase what we need to get our refrigerator operating. Does anyone know how to find that number? We tried to measure, but it's such an odd shape we are not sure we would be able to be accurate. The refrigerator is a Frigoboat. Thanks for any help on this!

Hi Bardin, welcome to the forum. It’s a great place to find other folk with similar boating interests. Thank you for coming in and posting.
May I suggest that you continue with a new thread, with a more specific title, as threads on this board tend to get lost among all the welcomes, and will be difficult for others to find if a similar issue arises in the future. (No need to repeat this one). The topic is probably not particularly model specific.
If I understand correctly, you are needing to replace a pipe or tube on you system which has perhaps been damaged. In this case, the size of the refrigerator is about helping the mechanic understand what size unit has been installed. I suspect that your measurements will be accurate enough.

Hello everyone. We are proud new owners of a 2013 Sun Odyssey 409 now named Leto. We are sailing year round in and out of San Diego bay, and previously have been up and down the coast from Newport Beach and Catalina down to Ensenada, but with the new boat plan to explore further around California. I will be happy to share some experiences with maintenance and upgrades, and tap into community knowledge for problem solving as we get to know our boat better.

Hi, I’m delighted to join the forum. I have been looking to buy a 39i over the past two months and have been looking all over Atlantic Europe and I can tell you it is very difficult. Any 39i (& 36i) boats sell very quickly and do not stay on the market for long! I made an offer yesterday to a broker in Western France but was just informed by him that the boat was sold yesterday. From my research I think that the supply of used Jeanneau boats in the €80 - 100k region has dried up considerably due to Covid (the dreaded word!). Anyway, I’ll keep looking for my dream boat.
Once again, I’m delighted to join the forum and hope to become an owner in the near future
Regards, Mark

Hi Mark,
Welcome to this wonderful forum. As strongly biased owner of a 2 cabin 39iP I think you are looking at a very nice boat.
I have followed the 2nd hand market closely since we bought ours 18 months ago I can only agree that supply of good, non chartered boats in this segment in Western Europe is limited.
There are many 39i owners active on this forum, so feel free to ask any question.

Hello everybody and thanks for approving my account request .
I am very delighted as I very recently bought a Jeanneau Sun Way 25. It’s just one week now and my first boat at all; first sailing was the previous Sunday.
Awesome feeling - I am not able to describe it any better 😀 Most of my previous experiences have been on yawls - so really a big change for me.
Perhaps already a first question : Unfortunately I am missing an owners manual for the Sun Way 25. I did already look at the official Jeanneau page , but no luck. Does anybody or you know where to find / get a copy of the formal owners manual ??
Best regards, Volker

Hi All Proud owners of a 2018 NC795, bought in Michigan and towed to its new home in Squamish BC. So far we’ve almost doubled the hours from 28 when we bought it. Our biggest question is on roof racks for SUPs and potentially for an inflatable dinghy. I’d love to see pictures of anyone’s set up on a 795! We also have Lenco trim tabs which I believe are factory installed, I can feel no difference in cruising with them fully positioned in any configuration? Wondering if there placement on the transom is not ideal? Also amazed the boat has a single 500gph bilge pump with no float switch, I’ll be adding a float switch and probably second pump. Overall we are super happy and looking forward to the summer! Thanks to Jeremy and Renee for all their feedback too, Calum

You may know but it is best to make new subject specific threads in the powerboats section with your questions. Enjoy your boat. Malcolm
