One of the best investments I made on my prior boat, A Beneteau Sense 50, was to replace the lifelines from the pushpit to the first stanchion forward with stainless tubing. With the sense you can't mount anything on the aft of the pushpit because the seats fold up. That left, like most Jeanneau and Beneteau, with a small area to work with. By adding the rails I had an endless (well at least 6 feet or so port and starboard) rail to mount tables, BBQ, engine brackets.
