Hi MalcolmP, where and how are you doing those gray days ? I wonder why no one asks for help, our Jeanneau embassy is empty although gates are open here for most country's citizens beside the 14 days quarantine. I am trying to cheer up a bit, we are all staying at home mainly the older of us. It is not forbidden to sail your own boat for a privet way of sport with no more than two participants but actually no boat is out. I wonder if you can try and make our people talk to each other through this web,it may support and help during those hard days. Just let them talk about their daily action. Take Care Alex49

Thank for your suggestion about using forum for "virtual sailing" chat whilst many of us cannot get afloat. I will follow that up a create a new section and see what response comes very best wishes Malcolm

There are lots of knowledgeable owners here, so ask any questions. Think your boat might have been owned by us a few years ago? Was she bases at Shotley? And does she have a Nanni inboard? Our spelling of the name though was slightly different, as we used Serendib. If it is the same boat, would be very happy to give you background history. Enjoy your sailing. Regards Malcolm

Hi Malcolm Apologies for the delay in replying (my parents have been I’ll necessitating us moving them from Birmingham to Colchester- long story. Your spelling is correct it is Serendib and yes it was based previously at Shotley. We bought boat back in 2022 and have been very happy with it as our first boat. The keel has some movement aft and we are now at the stage of getting this remediated by taking the keel and mast off and having the floor strengthening and keel re bedded. Did you notice any issues when you owned her?
Kind regards
Greg
