Cross posting this from Equipment & Commissioning.
I have a 2019 SO 419 and I'm hoping to wire up my inverter to the factor switch box behind the nav station.
In the same area as the switch box (sans switch) there is a wiring harness about 24' long (all bundled up) with 2 heavy gauge wires, each with insulated female connectors. The wires are purple and black and look to be about 12 ga.
I've tried measuring these ... there is no DC or AC voltage across them. But there is a varying amount of resistance ... and a few nF of capacitance. Capacitance is not varying.
The furthest I've been able to trace these wires is just behind the water strainer. The wires head aft and I can no longer trace them.
My questions are:
Q1 Does anyone know what they are for?
Q2 Where do they lead?
Q3 Why are the wires so long behind the nav station?
Q4 Is there an easier way to get AC from the inverter (mounted behind the battery switches) to the MAIN/INVERTER switch?
Q5 What switch part number fits in this plastic housing (Schneider)
Many thanks in advance!
...Peter
