SERENITY Sun Odyssey 36i
Somehow my Raymarine TriData has lost the calibration for the depth below the keel reading. What I need to know is the depth from the waterline to the bottom of the hull where the transducer is positioned. I can the re-calibrate it and avoid the possibility of going aground, with the huge rise and fall of the tides here in the St Malo area, it just has to be right! Thanks Tim

Why not drop a line with a weight while in shallow water, pull it out and measure?

Renegade's sounds like a good solution I have mine set offset to the draft so I err on the safe side. Tom SY Vega

Tim, If you know the draft of your boat, I would subtract 1 foot from that measurement for your offset. In our 36i it seems as though the depth sounder is about 1 foot below the water line.
Happy Sailing,
