Hi everyone,
Just curious to see what kind of performance figures people are getting from there Merry Fisher 695. I have a Honda 150HP outboard fitted and have done the research on performance figures, e.g. 4000 RPM’s should be returning 19 knots cruising speed, however I am achieving below that (5-6 knots at least).
I have changed the propellor and just had the hull scrubbed which has made a difference! I understand wind, tide etc can play a factor, but still feel I’m not getting the most out of the engine.
What kind of performance RPM’s vs KNOTS are people getting?
Any replies would be great! Thanks!

I have the same boat and engine with the standard prop. I am pretty sure I get similar, maybe a little faster. Next season I will test and let you know. My gut feel is something like 16 knots but will confirm. As you say it's quite hard to tell with the tide and wind. We're in Lyme Bay so there's almost always something working with or against you. I guess fresh water and fuel levels will make a difference too.

Promised to update you on this, boat back in, MF695, Honda BF 150, standard prop...
Into the wind and swell, 4,000 RPM - 14kts Coming back, nearly 21kts, even up to 23kts every now and then.
Hope this helps.
