I have a 2009 MF925, bought in May and located on the Norfolk Broads. After a full service and a week of pottering on the broads about I finally got out to sea. We set off from Lowestoft at 0500, slack water, headed for Wells-next-the-Sea in murky weather. There was a NE residual swell from several days of moderate NE winds, and the wind was now NW, 3-4. The first hour went well but as time went by the sea state worsened as the newly generated wave patterns mixed with the old swell. We slammed a bit and I slowed from about 15 to 12 knots SOG, then 10. Given there was now a bit of tide against us, speed through the water was maybe 11 knots. Sometimes a good bucket or two of spray came over the bows but not green water. Somewhere about 4 miles north of Winterton Ness we hit yet another hard wave and the Starboard half of the windscreen shattered. The next wave most of it fell out. It was time to turn round and run back to Lowestoft. I am somewhat disappointed that my new old boat appears to be not-so-seaworthy. I don't know if this is a common problem. I am sure it will be an expensive one to fix. Does anyone else have similar stories??? Were you able to source a replacement windscreen? As a new owner this makes me very concerned. They are not answering emails from their reps in the USA. I hope they are not going bankrupt.

Yes...replacement is just a sheet of toughened glass. Fortunately the screen is flat. Took 8 weeks to get due national shortage of toughened glass. Yet another example of the resounding success of Brexit.
