I had searched for a set of polars for our new to us 45 DS without any luck. So, I used the on-line Avalon tool to generate a set. Our boat is not listed, so I used the Beneteau 45 template and then adjusted the hull and sail parameters etc to those of the 45 DS. I'm attaching the result. Comments welcome. Michael - thanks. That's for a 42DS but it looks more accurate than what I did. We haven't had the 45 DS for long, but we have already proven to ourselves that she will point at 30 degrees apparent in about 15 knots apparent. Our genoa has a slightly unusual cut- the leach curves inwards and so there's no interference with the spreaders when sheeting in tightly (we have a 130% genoa) Tom, Alchemyst, 45 DS, #312 2011
