Dear All,
I am a happy owner of a Sun Shine 36 which is currently being renovated.
I plan to change all sheets and lines.
Do you have a method to measure the lengths quickly? Or is there a table with such information?
I appreciate your help,
MSafiri

Here is an online owners manual at the jeanneau USA site. www.jeanneau.fr/doc/proprietaire/manuelproprietaire_2_20080305_Manuel_ang_Sun_Shine.pdfFrench version www.jeanneau.fr/doc/proprietaire/manuelproprietaire_1_20080305_Manuel_fr_Sun_Shine.pdfI'm not seeing line lengths like my Arcadia has. You could measure the old ones if they are easy to do. BUT, for halyards. Measure the mast x2, then add the distance to the back of the cabin if they go there. Also add something for the additional length if you run the main halyad to the back of the boom to store it as I do. Along with the additional to the front of the bow for spin or jib halyards. Or better yet, measure the bow/end of boom to top of mast, mast length, the the distance to the back of the cabin plus a few ft/meter or so for tailing. For sheets, Lay out the biggest jib/genoa you have, take a long tape and measure from the clew around the front of the mast/mini headstay to the back of the boat and forward to the winches plus some extra. This measurement will depend upon how your jib cars, return sheave to the winchs is set up. Hopefully some of this will help. Marty

Hi MartyB, Thanks for the idea, actually it is too simple wondering why I was thinking about something more complex. Cheers, MSafiri

Hi All,
I just received a doc from Jeanneau with the information about the length and diameters of the sheets and lines used on a Sun Shine 38 boat.
It is in French, but if someone needs it, I will translate it to English.
cheers,
MSafiri
