I’ve got a 2007 Jeanneau 39DS with an annoying leak - I suspect the starboard cockpit bench to be the cause. Does anybody know whether there is solid glass fiber under the teak bench or whether there is a wooden plate (as on the swimming platform)? Thanks in advance 👍⛵️

I am pretty sure the swim platform is the only place with plywood under the teak. I am pretty sure everywhere else is solid fiberglass with teak glued to it.

I don't have a 39 but a 42DS. We leaked into the aft cabin which turned out to be the stainless cover plates protecting the scupper drains. They were screwed in but not bedded with any compound. We caulked the screws and joints and no more leaks. It may not be your issue, but it is a place to consider.
