I did hear that to be true. Now it seems that Norton’s in Deltaville VA is the only Jeanneau dealer on the Chesapeake Bay

Atlantic Cruising Yachts has taken on the Dufour line Don’t see much Dufours in the States. There’s got to be a reason why they are not allowed to sell Jeanneau anymore.

I don’t know if that’s the main reason , but ACY has been representing the “Fontaine Pajot” catamaran product line for several years. FP bought Dufour, so now Atlantic Cruising Yatch is selling mono hulls and cats from the same manufacturer in France. There is probably another reason for the move but the logic is not totally off.

According to Atlantic Cruising Yachts they elected not to sell Jeanneau. Jeanneau also announced closing of US plant. ACY also said Jeanneau passed Beneteau as number one sailboat sales in US. They also claim to be largest Jeanneau dealer. They are the largest Fountaine Pajot dealer which now owns Dufour. Rather confusing to me.

Why would someone choose not to be a dealer for the highest selling brand in USA... sounds little fishy. Dufour is pretty obscure in US.

Totally agree unless Jeanneau put some condition for ACY to continue. Likewise, I believe ACY was the largest Jeanneau dealer in the US so why would Jeanneau drop them? Very suspicious.
