Has anyone used these? There are people on the Beneteau list who have used them successfully to get more light in the cabins without redoing the entire electrical system. I'd LOVE to have more light in the cabin! Thanks, Berni (S/V Avalon, SO49)

I replaced the halogen and tungsten bulbs in my SO35 this past summer with similar looking lights from a different manufacturer. I ended up using 6-element LEDs in the ceiling lights, which were definitely not brighter than the originals. On the contrary, they provide a bit less light than the original bulbs. But the savings in power was worth it to me.
MarineBeam has a 2-year satisfaction guarantee. I would take them up on it. Try a few and see if they work for you. Then report back to the forum with your impressions.

I emailed Marinebeam, and got a really nice reply from Jeff. He requested that we take pictures of the lights, and then he could recommend replacements. Since we live aboard during the summer, the original salon lights are just not bright enough. We installed Cantiloupi lights on our Beneteau, but it would be nice if we could just replace the existing fixtures. We're definitely going to try the Marinebeams, and will report back. Berni
