We live in SW Florida and recently purchased a new 895. Can we leave the cockpit cushions out in the sun and rain? Has anyone used any kind of fabric protection that would help when leaving them out in the weather?

Yes, you can leave the cockpit cushions out in the rain and sun. They are made to withstand that. Of course the more you do the sooner they will get dirty and Start to show signs of age. And if they stay wet for long periods green slime will Start to grow on the underside, at least in the northwest. Our procedure is to put them away if not using the boat in a day or two. You probably know they just fit nicely along the port side in the 2nd berth. When on a overnight or longer cruise we leave them out for the whole trip even over several weeks. Oh, for fishing and crabbing they definitely get stowed :,)
