We are looking to add water filtration between the tank and the sink. Looking at Seagull IV and Camco EVO X2. Any experience/suggestions? Thank you!

We use a filter before the water entered the boat to remove chlorine to not affect the watermaker membrane. We do not have an internal filter system and the water has always been of good quality.

I use the same filter when I add water from a dock source. But my Watermaker does not ever use my tank water for flushing etc so I am interested in adding back in a bit of bleach when I fill my tanks. I’m thinking that might help prevent growth over years. So I am also interested in adding a filter before the galley outlet. On my 469 there is almost enough room to add a charcoal filter behind the utensil drawer and under the sink. But so far I haven’t found one that fits. I’m trying to avoid doing a whole boat filter after the pump and would rather have a smaller one that only feeds the galley faucet. I’d rather avoid adding another faucet also. It should be easy enough to put in a filter on the cold water tap. I think I have 12 inches x 4 inches if I could put one in horizontally.

We have Seagull IV installed under the sink and the faucet beside the sink mixer. Great filtration with no odor or taste in the water. Replacement filter readily available and simple to install. More info here: purifiersaustralia.com.au/seagull-iv/

More info here: purifiersaustralia.com.au/seagull-iv/Those prices are outrageous for a simple filter housing, and the replacement filter cartridges are pretty pricey too! I guess if you are in an area with really poor water quality they might be worthwhile, but if the water is that bad I would want to filter it before it even goes into the tanks!

It stops flowing when it is no longer working?

Makes a big difference to the taste of the water. And I also use an inline carbon filter to fill the tanks from the dock or if I’m on my direct water connection.
