How are people doing around the cans?
Specifically, interested in PHRF racing of the shoal draft versions of these similar models, but tell about your experiences!

I am racing my So35 with white sail only (No Spinnaker) using the bob mcpherson sail100 floating handicap system,Great fun and the so35 does not like being pinched upwind.I put a Half reef (Flattening reef in the main) We use this at 17knots and 1st reef at 21knots.Have seen my handicap go up to 1.090. Has anybody fitted a back stay tensioner my rigger does not reccomend it.We can hold Sigma 33 downwind but not on the beat

I wonder if the rigger does not want a back stay tensioner due to you having a furling jib?!?!
A BST will help in the upwind conditions in that you can tighten up the forstay, which allows some of the removal of the stay falling off the wind, increasing you pointing ability among other things. Also flattening?!?! the main, which allows a bit less weather helm, and more speed. At least on my Arcadia it works this way.
