Hi everybody, I own a 2017 Merry Fisher 795 which I bought new from a Jeanneau dealer. In general I am happy with the boat although there are some minor points I would change next time. Unfortunately I experienced a lot of cracks at the areas which have this antiskid texture. Also on the bathing platform. For me it looks like the structure under the gelcoat is too weak or something went wrong during the production. I wonder if anybody has similar problems or has heard about this before. Any feedback is much appreciated! I try to add some pictures. All the best Buff Here’s the link to the pictures: postimg.cc/gallery/wmD1VGh

Hi, what do you mean by cracks on antiskid floor? Do the cracks are just in gelcoat? Swimming plateform are small, cracks means visuel movement, there is an other thread on "floor gives"..... Do you have pics? While runing, do you experience cracking sound?

Interesting. I have a 2014 755. I have some very similar small gelcoat cracks in both antiskid and not. I expect mine is normal, but yours are more excessive. It would be worth understanding what people have done to repair, I am trying a few things over the next couple weeks

Hi, Jeanneau use a coring process and also vacuum fiber process, do you have cracks on cored panel? I think that swimming plateform are full fiber.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
The cracks started to appear on the bathing platform. The dealer tried to repair it but without success. Also was the repair with little different gelcoat color so it looks like a dump from seagulls. The cracks have developed meanwhile on basically all surfaces with the antiskid texture, especially on the bow area and sides. It looks like it is mostly where people walk. So I assume that the structure is too weak. In my opinion this is absolutely not tolerable since water is leaking into the main structure under the gelcoat. Maybe it is a production issue. I have it at the dealer at the moment for service and to follow up on the cracks. We will see what they come up with.

The bow is cored, is it "giving " when you walk/jump on it? Do your dealer have a New 795 to compare with it? Could you detail where you have water intrusion? Do you have pics? I can find Merry fisher 755 2016, so I suppose that 795 was a New model for 2017, by comparing with a 2020_ 795, you should see difference, flex and strenght could be evaluate by light fist hamming and by jumping on surface. Personnaly, I evaluate a NC895sport, and hull is very stiffed and flooring at the bow too. On a sea trial with a twin yammy 250 pony under 1 footer short waves, a lot of bangs came from that hull stiffness. So too stiff could have problems too. Feel free to send me message.
