My thruster controller is wearing out and the buttons take a few presses to work sometimes. I searched the Quick website for a replacement without success. So I emailed their customer support and learned something that might be helpful to others. This THC1022 controller is a specially made item solely for Jeanneau and Beneteau to fit the wiring harness. Of course. But it is readily available directly from Quick if you ever need one. It’s not listed on their standard parts page so you need to call directly and order or order from Jeanneau dealer. In both cases it will be shipped from Quick and I suspect Quick direct has better pricing. I hope this helps someone.

Any chance you have the manual for the THC 1022? I just purchased a used Beneteau with it, but no manual... Or can you give any advice?
Best, Scott

Thanks for this, mine is also worn and I would like to purchase a new one. I know it’s been a while since this post, but I would also be interested in a manual if anyone has one?
Thanks, David

Sorry I missed the earlier request for the manual. I’m not on the boat right now and I know I have the paper copy on board. I believe that it is a downloadable manual from quick usa. If not I have found them very helpful on the phone and might send you an electronic copy.

By the way, I think my earlier problem was really an operator problem. I forgot about the three second lockout period when switching directions.

I found this manual online:
Quick TCD 1022/TCD 1042 Thruster Manual
I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same but it looks very very close. I read in it that there is a two second direction lock out so maybe they’ve decreased that from three?
Thanks so much for posting about the switch – I will be calling them to order one since the top membrane of mine has come off.
hope it helps,
Cheers, David
edit - autocorrect hates me.

hallo,
haben Sie einen neuen Controller direkt bei Quick bestellt? Wurde Ihnen dieser zugesandt und wenn ja, wieviel kostete dieser (ungefähr)?
liebe Grüße, Gabi

liebe Grüße, Gabi I have contacted Quick USA, the part is backordered for 2-5 months but they have not given me a cost yet after several emails. I was talking with tech support and they told me the parts were very expensive. You may have better luck with Quick in Italy but they never responded to my emails. I ended up buying new buttons, as water or moisture was getting in causing intermittent operation. here are the parts I ordered. www.digikey.ca/en/products/detail/bulgin/MMPI0120-ABKGN012P/6348634www.digikey.ca/en/products/detail/bulgin/MMP0120-AGNP/6348627

Thanks for the feedback, I'll probably get other switches as well.
Kind regards, Gaby

How did the switch replacement work on your bow thruster?I have a sticking switch on mine also. Any help on replacing the switches would be appreciated. I noticed that you ordered two different switches.

Mine worked out perfect but I was able to get the original switch from Quick USA which is a direct replacement so I just reached in from behind through my lazaretto locker to make the connections, new one screwed right in, easy-peasy.
I'm curious also to know how the Digikey parts work out...

Hi, Quick didn't have stock, was backordered with no idea on delivery date and Italy wouldn't respond to me so I decided to try myself. Been a month or two and works perfectly. When you remove the controller, be careful as the plastic may be brittle. the cover has tabs on left an right side that you need to carefully get under neath to pop. The main body was secured with 4 Philips screws and heavily siliconed and took some careful effort to break the seal. You can access the wire harness through the lazerette and undo it, you may need to clip some zap straps holding it to other wires. Remove unit and can disassemble. The switch without light is easy replacement, just solder in the new one. The one with light has 4 posts/wires that you need to figure out which one. in the photo below. the 2 black on left go on the switch without the light. The switch with the light, the 2 black wires go on the silver posts on switch and polarity doesn't matter. the 2 gold ones are for the red and blue wires. Polarity doesn't matter for those either but you can look at the circuit board and see which one is negative based on the main harness black wire and its path on circuit board. the gold posts on switch do have a + and - marking if you look close. the new switches come with a rubber o-ring which helps seal it and I added some extra silicone around to make sure it didnt leak. Also note, when I talked to the QUICK tech support manager, he said that the THC 1022 was totally different than the TDC1022 and not compatible. Jeanneau has total different wiring and parts. The THC has 6 wires in the harness instead of the 4 on the TDC which wire directly directly to the bow thruster. The THC1022 connects first to another circuit board attached to the thruster called the TCX. attached photo below.

It appears my 42Ds thruster controller has succumbed to the dreaded "disease". The next attempt at usage after successfully operating days before, it would not operate. The switch had not gotten intermittent at all, just ceased to operate. My thruster is the Max Power CT 8 with the Max Power Control Panel www.max-power.com/product/90-control-panels-remote-controls/5912-touch-panel . It appears that this may be more readily available than the noted Quick THC 1022. What thruster are those who have the THC 1022 controlling? My troubleshooting to date has been to measure the voltage at the breaker. When the breaker is on there is voltage into the breaker and out. This leads me to believe there is power going to the cockpit control panel but is not cycling due to the reasons up thread. When cycling the breaker the relay can be heard activating/deactivating. I will attempt to get the linked switch but am concerned about the comment the THC 1022 is for Jeanneau/Beneteau boats only. Comments please. Thanks

hey, the thrusters with the THC 1022 are quick brand as well. It is an integrated system on Jeanneau's. The Max thruster I believe is a very simple controller and the push button switches I linked to should work fine. They are generic (nothing to do with quick) that I sourced and waterproof rated.
You may as well try it and if it doesn't work can always get a new controller. I had actually looked at those to replace mine but wasnt going to work as the THC has a circuit board in it.
Where in Canada are you? Victory Marine in Vancouver had some Max controllers around $350 if I recall.

Thanks for your assistance and tip . I ordered from Victory Marine. 229$, not bad considering........ Hopefully, that is the problem. I am at Schooner Cove on Vancouver Island. Likely we'll cross wakes before too long.

Hi, I replaced my THC 1022 Bow Thruster switch last year as when I went to turn it on one day one of the buttons got stuck in. I finally managed to get it free again after a couple of hours however I was too scared to use it again just in case it got stuck in during operation and that could cause major damage to the boat.
I ordered a replacement via my local Jeanneau dealer and it was delivered from the Jeanneau spares center in France at a cost of £240. It only took a couple of weeks to arrive in the UK.
I now use a small plastic food container with the lid cut off as a cover to help reduce the moisture ingress and potential corrosion.

Update: It turns out the problem was not the cockpit switch. Whilst rumaging around the thruster motor and wiring I had unknowingly partially dislodged the power plug to the module that is velcroed to the motor. Not visible looking down at it. A marine electrician discovered it within 10 mim. "Follow the power" he said. I will.

I just ordered a replacement THC1022 from MTO Nautica in Italy for 190 Euros . They said it should arrive is about 10 days. My original was going in alarm the moment i would start my 2013 Jeanneau 41 DS and the audible alarm at the controller would not stop. However the bow thruster appeared to operate fine as did the ZF controller joy stick for the 360 function. I removed the controlled and all the apparent solder joints looked fine. Following reinstallation of the controller, the alarm was silenced but the red (port) control light did not come and the red button did not operate the the thruster - only the green (starboard) button would activated the controller. Addrionally, my ZF joystick controller began flashing a fault light. Removed, reinstalled, the the THC 1022 twice … jingled the wiring harnes below the helm, etc but couldn’t get the red light and port side control button to work…. so ordered the new one. I will add that the the face place and button were very much weathered and brittle, maybe allowing rain water to seep into the control housing… not sure if the new one I ordered will solve the problem but the original probably needed to be changes anyway. I will update this post after installing the new one.
