New Member thinking of getting a JMF 695 Marlin with 150hp Suzuki outboard with low hours usage. Does anyone know if optional rear swim platforms can be retro fitted after boat is built? Plus any recommendations for used boat buyers checks.
Thanks

I have demounted port side swim platform from my 795 to make alterations and refitted again. One thing the factory has done during the production process is to place a few small seperate pieces of metal, looks like aluminium rather than steel, inside the fiber as reinforcement to meet the nuts holding the platform. If you can open a hatch and work from inside for placing reinforcement and tightening of the bolts, Ithink there is no reason why it should not be done. a make shift reinforcement may also be placed from outside, instead of inside, for convenience. Lots of sikas had been applied to the base of the platform to hold it in place and to make the nuts water tight, too. 755 have a shorter platform than 795. Smaller may be easier to install.
