I am in the process of purchasing a new 2019 NC 895 which was made in Michigan, USA. She is Legend Blue with twin 200 Yamaha engines. We live in Punta Gorda, Florida and are downsizing from 25 years of diesel powered trawler life. Jeanneau power boats are just coming to our area. My wife and I were attracted to the styling and functionality of a boat of this size. We are asking for both positive and negative comments and hints from those of you who have been cruising your NC's for the past few years. Thank you!

You are most welcome and congratulations on your new boat. This forum sometimes taking a little time to find you way around, for example there is a good search facility that you may not yet have found which will bring up lots of old posts on the NC 895 (or anything else) EG jeanneau.proboards.com/search/results?captcha_id=captcha_search&what_at_least_one=895&who_only_made_by=0&display_as=0&search=SearchI am sure some of the many existing 895 owners will also comment on their likes /dislikes but don't hesitate to ask if you have specific concerns or questions Also do have a look at our use of forum section which gives quite a few tips like how to add photos to posts or add to your profile jeanneau.proboards.com/board/9/use-forumHope you find the transition from your Trawler a good experience.

I love my 2020 NC 795, just be prepared for cosmetic quality issues. The attention to detail just is not there at the factory.

Thank you! We've had a 2019 (model year since fall of 2018). They factory was just ramping up production and there were delays. Our dealer and Jeaneau made up for the delays with above average customer service. All of our minor issues have been addressed well by the service folks.
We've got two kids so this is great for 4, and for 2 its even better. This is great all season boat. We've been out in the snow with our diesel heater. The visibility is best in class. Even a heavy boat can be trimmed down at economy cruise speed of 24 knots to a nice flat pitch, and if you don't like money you flatten out perfectly at a top end of 36 kts. We burn about 1.55 mpg at econ cruise, 24 kts, and .9 at top end (40gph isn't fun to look at).
The helmstation door is the best. You can single hand her quite easily with ready access to the entire boat. She's awesome on a starboard tie up, and conversely not so great if you're forced to tie up to port (as we are at our fuel dock due to current). The sliding bench does steal a bit of room when it's forward and the motors are up, but we cruise the river, so we can leave them in the water during extended cruising. The cockpit storage is massive but must be accessed from inside the salon. The hatch is prety heavy if you've got the full U shapped cockpit bench arrangement. I saw a skipper in our area who rigged a strap as a handle and it made the pull way easier. As for the cockpit bench, the U shape does give you the option for a sun pad, but it's a bit of a room hog.
We really enjoy the boat and have little to complain about. If I had it to do over, I'd buy her again, well maybe the 1095 as our kids are getting older, and who doesn't want three staterooms?
Good Luck

I have a 2019 NC 895 with twin 200 HP motors. overall happy with the boat but i see you are in FLA and bought a colored hull. The salon cabin is hot even with the ac running and i am in NJ with a white hull. your boat may be very hot. i am working on rerouting the forward and lower cabin ac into the main cabin.
i would suggest you get the white hull not the dark blue hull which will cook in the FLA sun.
I assume you read the long 895 conversation and i think that covers many topics. its not a perfect boat but it meets our family needs. we are not fishing folks, just cruising.
Feel free to contact me on specific questions

Your post about hull color prompted me to add to that point. I had a blue hulled 695. Its a beautiful color Although hard to maintain as every little scratch shows. Ii was shocked how hot the inside of the hull got in an afternoon summer sun. Almost too hot to keep your hand on it. Basically an oven even in the Pacific Northwest. My 895 has a white hull. It doesn’t even get warm to the touch. With the white hull I don’t feel AC is really needed in the northwest.

We have a 2019 with twin 200 Yamas, took delivery september last year. We have been to the Bahamas and the Keys several times. Even did a a Keys trip with two couples, though we are both campers. Boat handles great and lots of neat features. Quality of detail could be better but overall not bad. It does not handle big chop well and you will have to slow way down unless you like getting beat up, but probably not worse than anything else with decent interior room. I would definitely stay away from the Blue hull, if you want color maybe do a very light blue wrap. It will get way to hot for just about any AC to keep up. Ours is white and we tinted all the windows and the AC can barely keep you comfortable in Southwest Florida.

Unfortunately we just saw these posts today. We bought the blue hull 895 yesterday!
We want to add and electrical outlet by the dinette table. Has anyone done that? Also some USB ports in the forward cabin to charge cell phone, etc overnight.

Congratulations on getting your Jeanneau. You could always have a white vinyl wrap, to keep cool, would protect the blue hull too...
