Hi, all - hope you can get out on the water soon! I'm looking for a part for my 2006 JSO 35 SD, hull 850. This is a 2-piece hinged engine control cover (see attached – bottom half. Top not shown). Would you be able to direct me where I can buy a replacement? I've also emailed Gilles RIGAUX who has been helpful before, but this was quite a while ago and I'm not sure he's still there. Thanks in advance and be well!

On my 2004 SO 35, this is a simple piece of plexiglass or some other kind of transparent plastic sheet. It seems like it would be easy to fabricate one from materials available almost anywhere.
On mine, the only thing that's broken is the catch. Gravity seems to keep it closed adequately, so I haven't bothered to fix it.

Not sure where you are located, but if you go to a shop they should be able to copy the old one.
They can use acrilyc, lexan, polycarbonate or plexiglass transparent sheet. These materials are widely available.

Hi Renegade I took a look at the spare parts Jeanneau site for your SO35 and they show a matrix. I am not sure if you are looking for the plastic windows or just the hinges or both. They seem to indicate that the plastic windows are no longer available but they do show a hinge as per the pictures. I am assuming that you have the windows but the hinge looks broken in the picture. They show the part number as 953905 as available Hinge C/Brass 30 x 30 (presumably 30mm x 30mm) at $6.60 each.
Im not sure if this is what you want but the hinge can be ordered through your local Jeanneau dealer or failing that you can set up an account on the spares site. I have never bought directly off the site but I believe some have.
Good Luck Colin S/Y Mistral

Thanks all.
I've tried to find local shops to duplicate but haven't so far been lucky.
The materials I can find at, for example at Home Depot, are very thin by comparison and I'm not confident in my own skills especially with the round corners and holes.
Jeanneau (Gilles) did respond and the windows are $137 from Jeanneau spares. Possibly, but I think I'll give my boat yard a call and see if they know any local craftsmen.
BTW, it is the clear windows that are broken. The top one (not shown) was broken at the hinges.
Stay safe and sail!
