Hi there I own a 2019 Sun Odyssey 440. In the anchor locker, there is a deck wash system, with a female connector. The hose kit, that came with the boat does have male connectors, but they will not fit. Is there a special attachment, that I need to get to use the deck wash system? Please advise. I heard that other owners had similar issues on some older models.
Thanks, Ray

Shurflo (my system) Jabsco and Johnson both make washdown systems. On my Jabsco system, there is a twist lock blue plastic connector that when inserted and twisted in, activates the flow of water. We attached a plastic shutoff valve at the end to prevent getting wet. You can order them from Defender or West Marine, but since you don't have a location on your profile, you may have to look elsewhere.

Same problem came from factory with no male connectons. Its a simple push in male Hoze Loc connector found in any DIY centers ... We made a short hose up from garden hose and Hoze Loc connectors. Just push it in fully and you have connection ..you will need to push in outer ring on yacht fitting to disconnect hose. Hope this covers your question Our yacht was on the 2018 SBS model so we are now into our second season and have learned a lot in year one so if you have any quarries on spec / performance etc do not hesertate to ask.

Thanks so much, will give it a go. Yes, learning more about the Yacht every sail. but love the way it handles with two helms and rudders and the bow thruster is a joy, feels like cheating, but great for short handed docking!
Based in St. Augustine, FL.
Thanks, Ray

Based out of St. Augustine, Fl, will follow your advice. I will update my profile as well. Lived in California for many years had a Catalina 36 in Marina Del Rey and then Alamitos Bay. Miss heading to Catalina Island. All the best, Ray

I wish we could go there, but friends of ours were turned back from getting a mooring in Avalon and told to go back to the mainland. Catalina no Covid19 and won't allow anyone in for the foreseeable future. I understand where they are coming from. 2 Harbors is the same. It better be a fantastic summer!!!!
