As I am getting older the strain of lugging the tender outboard on and off is beginning to tell. I intend to fit a davit to try and make this easier but wonder where is the best place to fit one. If anyone has done this already I would love to hear your thoughts and see some pictures if possible.
Cheers

Thanks for that. Is it possible to open the lazarette fully with your davit still in place?

Thanks for that. Is it possible to open the lazarette fully with your davit still in place? Not a problem, at least not by our SO 39i

I installed a St Croix outboard davit that is removable. I also moved the motor bracket outboard so I could gain access to the propane locker. All works well.

I was thinking of putting it on the outside of the rail by fabricating a bracket to bolt on to the sugar scoop. That way it would have a greater reach and be out of the way of everything.
Can anyone foresee any problems with that?
Thanks for all the responses so far!

It is hard to tell from the pic...is the base bolted to the deck, or is it just clamped to the pushpit structure?
