We just went down to remove winter cover off 409 and we found out backsplash exploded all over cabin. I expect we were day too late removing cover since it was 85 degrees yesterday. Does anyone have a template or suggestions for replacement backsplash. Thanks Phil

After finally fitting a replacement glass from Jeanneau to my 50 DS back in early 2021, the new glass exploded one night whilst we were all in bed (family includes 2 young kids). It was summer and the day / night temps were ranging between 25 / 18C so pretty minimal fluctuation.
I fired off an angry email to Jeanneau and to be fair they replied immediately to say they would give me a full refund (which they paid immediately). And that they would remove this item from the spares inventory until they’ve worked out a better option.
Meanwhile I’ll replace it with acrylic. I think that’s the only safe option.

As we are discussing glass . Our 2007 Jeanneau has had the inside oven door glass shatter about 7 years ago , it was recommended not to tighten the inside holding screw to much , the glass has not broken since . On our delivery trip (in quite lively conditions), we arrived at our home berth to find the mirror on the back of the door to the aft heads had come away and smashed on the floor (fortunately more than seven years ago now and we have survived…). The adhesive holding it on was far too little. As a result, I bought glass angle holders for all of my remaking mirrors and installed them, with no mirror problems since!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Jeanneau have stopped using these glass splash back panels, I did ask the question for my Yachts 51, which is crying out for a splash back, but the only response was, they don't do splash backs anymore. Maybe the problem is the change in temperature range, causing the glass to contract and expand, if so the answer would be to set the glass in a flexible sealant to allow for this movement. Bang on Don! This IS the cause of the back splashes exploding. I also keep mine slightly loose. Regards Ian
