I have a rigging screw that is seized. I intend to try a little heat on the body of the bottle screw to see if this helps.
Does any one have any other suggestions to help free this seized part of the rigging.
Thanks Marty

Do you mean turnbuckle screws to adjust tension, as seen here: www.made-in-china.com/image/2f0j00CGgayVQEmTRsM/Stainless-Steel-Turnbuckle-Series.jpgThese screws are subject to something called "galling" and if that is the case then you are going to have a lot of work removing it. One thing to try is to use a penetrating lubricant or WD-20 and giving it time to work, then removing ALL tension (i.e. if a shroud then go sailing and make it the leeward one) and giving it a go with a long arm.
