I have a SO40.3 and I would like to convert the fixed salon table to some type of lift table so that I can use the area as a berth. How as anyone out there tackled this project? If so, can you share your methodology? Thanks! Robert

I have not personally done this but it was done by the previous owner of my boat (J 45) he HAD A GOIOT aluminium pedestal fitted where the table leg was. very straight foward... and had a couple of extra cushions made up. The table exactly fits the space in between the seats, however, it is a VERY large table for the space and it can be a pain getting around it as it si a bit awkward, but that leaves no extra panels or hinges etc and for the awkwardness at times it is the simplicity thats great. Im pretty sure you can get them from catalogue...works very well..you can fit at least 7 kids on there for a playdate! siun

I just used the Jeanneau conversion kit - 2 cross beams held in U brackets - pop off the table top, pull out the aluminum support legs, lay in the support beams, replace table top and add bolster cushions. Conversion takes 2-3 minutes.
