Does anyone know which cooling system the NC 11 has. I'm assuming the FULL?
With a HALF System (Block Only), the treated fresh water is circulated through the engine block, thermostat, expansion tank, heat exchanger and circulation pump. It is not routed through the exhaust manifolds. "Raw Water" which has removed heat from the engine through the heat exchanger is then injected into the exhaust manifold, from which it flows to the exhaust elbow to cool and exit through the exhaust. The half system does not provide the same degree of protection for your engine as a FULL (Block and Exhaust Manifold) closed cooling system, but is generally easier to install, less expensive, and may be the only option available if your engine's pump capacity, electronic control system, or other factors prevent a FULL system from being safely installed on a particular engine or boat. In a FULL System (Block and Exhaust Manifolds), all parts of the engine are cooled with circulated antifreeze. "Raw Water" which has removed heat from the engine through the heat exchanger is then injected into the exhaust elbow and exits through the engine exhaust. The full system provides the maximum protection to your engine from the ill effects of direct "Raw Water" cooling.
Has anybody had overheating problems especially running in salt water?

Hi. Did u find an answer? My understanding is the engines are cooled by antifreeze and a heat exchanger. I know the last owner of my 2011 had the core refurbished or something as one engine ran hotter. These boats are often in salt so I don’t think raw water cooled. Mine was in Florida briefly but otherwise Great Lakes and st Lawrence near Montreal.

we run ours exclusively in salt water. The engines run around 85-90c Sometimes one side a little different to the other, but only a few degrees and I'd not worry about that, The guages read differently to the digital readouts anyway
I think as the motor is a XC90 diesel it will cool just like a car, all around the block and head and maybe even the turbo housing. Its a full corrosion inhibator system, yellow or green, I think the yellow lasts longer than the green!
I've been told the heat exchanger never seems to have any problems with corrosion....ha, now im cursed!
