Hi Marty Been away for a bit. I am finally making it south of the 49th and will be at Whidbey for race week. My boat will be the mother ship, we are racing the 1D35. We will be staying at Oak Harbor Marina.
Having a new kite built for light air and North Sails is recommending the Contender Super Lite 50 versus AirX 500. Any opinion or stories good or bad you have heard of?

That is the last week in July? or there abouts? About a half day sail north, or about the same time driving inch=luding the ferry ride from Mulkiltio to clinton on the whidbey side.
Hopefully I will not be on Crane Island installing a patio for a client.
No good or bad or other wise as far as the spin s go. Is this for your rig? or the 1D? One of the 1D's from Seattle seems to be the hot one around here, then the others do ok overall against ea other. It was interesting to see the one fly ahead of the others at the Nood race.
i also unfortunetly did not get up to the roundezvous at Pender, other issues. Hopefully next year.
A boat across the slip from me I believe will be up there, they were last yr, finished 2nd in class IIRC. Excentric, a Hotfoot 30 or 32, can not remember the actual size.
When you get closer let me know what day and time you will be there, I may sail up. I'm in Edmonds, about 5 miles south on the east shore of Whidbey. Mean while, oak harbor IIRC is about 3/4 of the way north. Shallow bay when the tide is low!
