Hello,
The keel moved about 1 c"m up and down , but only the aft part . the first bolt is 15 c"m from the aft and it looks good (i took down the polyester to see) .
some people say it is normal and some say it is bad. there are 10 bolts.
what do you think?

Unless this is a swing keel I would recommend having this looked at immediately. Keels need to be firmly attached and any movement or flexing is a sign of impending failure. Chances are that it won't fail while you are moored or docked but when at sea and that would be bad.

Hello,
I'm not qualified to comment but if my keel moved so much as a millimetre, I would get the boat surveyed before taking it anywhere. I think that problem is a very serious worry,
Happy sailing,

Hi Eran
I'd get the boat out the water asap and have it checked out. If I follow what you're saying, you've got 1cm of play at the aft end of the keel which is very serious.

Eran - could you update the thread with what you ended up doing regarding your keel?

Hi again
I asked plenty of professional and non professional in the industry of yachting.
the non pro always say it is bad bad bad. the pro always say it is ok, normal for the keel to move little bit. better flexibility and not breaking.
year ago I had all the bolts in the chain plates replaced due corrosion. strengthening them resulted in broken bolts.
I did the same to the keel bolts after removing the fiberglass cover that jeanneau put on the bolts.
the bolts was ok, non broke after severe strength trying to open them.
My boat is ok.

Did you figure out where the water was coming from?
I could see the need for some flexing of the keel, but there could be too much too.
Good luck with issue, hope it is ok as you say.

the water are there for long time, the big salt comes after months only. I need to add some sikaflex to the keel joint .
the boat floor looks good, no cracks. no signs for any damage. bolts are strong, no corrosion.

EVERYTHING ENGINEERED HAS PLUS OR MINUS TOLERANCES. AS AN EX AIRCRAFT ENGINEER IT FRUSTRATES ME AT THE LACK OF INFORMATION AVAILABLE TO SERVICE OR CHECK TOLERANCES OR TORQUE LOADINGS ON BOLTS ETC ON THESE YACHTS. WHETHER IT BE HIGH PERFORMANCE JET FIGHTERS OR YACHTS - GET---IT---CHECKED--- OUT (SIGNED SURVEY) BEFORE YOU SET FOOT ON HER AGAIN.
