Any experience with leaking hot water heaters? The boat is a 1995 SO 37 and the heater is under the settee. Mine is still churning out the hot water, but this is not a situation that can last long.
We just bought the boat and really like her in spite of a few minor issues. More about those later. We are in the pacific north west.

Did you buy the SO37.1 from Signature? Any way, not sure where you are at now, but there is one local with a sunshine 36 at Seattle's Elliot bay marina, he replaced his water heater last winter. Goes by vizenor on here. email should be vizenor at aol dot com. If that does not work, let me know, I can track him down, as I have ph#s too, he can also be found on a local email list www.sailcascadia.orgMarty

Hi Marty,
Yes the boat was brokered through signature. Having done more research there are several possibilties and thankfully the design allows some flexibilty because the space is not too confined.
Cheers

We also have a SO 37 and there was a problem with the safety valve at the top of the water heater leaking as it had frozen over the winter . Once I replaced it everything was okay. Hope its that simple for you.
