Where is your boat flagged these days? Did your Brexit it?

Still with UK flag... ( will start the procedure of changing it in the autumn after lift out)
Hasn't come with exact place for wintering - most likely somewhere Nidri/Lefkas - still fishing for right price/place - offers from 800 to 1650 for 6 months on the hard lift out and in

Are you happy to leave it anchored in the Nidri bay?

There is old aussi guy in Vligo who can give you a buoy for 2.50 a day and look after yoyr boat:) Also next summer I can decide to go down to Zea Marina - acceptable price and A LOT better then Olympic Generally the good marina in Ionian looks to be Gouvia on Corfu but far away from the nice places where you want to go with yuong children - my daughter is 6 years old..

Cleopatra has good service but some huge drawbacks - in the middle of nowere - 32km round trip to proper chandlery , do not allow external people to work on your boat, and no normal shops if you decide to spend a week on the boat and work on it...

For you, Gouvia would be a good year round option as there are plenty of direct flights from the UK. It would be worth the additional mooring cost and the distance from the rest of the ionian.
Paxos and antipaxos would be nice places to anchor and swim with the family.
Also it's not a bad place to go to in winter if you want a break from the UK, although perhaps not with kids..
In spite of it's drawbacks, Corfu remains my first choice for where to base a boat in the Ionian and for me I only had 6 weeks of direct flights to enjoy (stupid Swedes only wanting to holiday in July)

Agree, but fed-up the last 6 years with wasting 4-6 days to get to the place when I want to sail and back from it... now I want to keep the boat in the middle of the middle of the sailing ground - this summer will be Ionian(Nidri) - next summer Cyclades - will keep the boat on Syros ( good transport links to Mykonos from London)
