Hi everyone Have an odd one here. My toddler when we weren't looking decided to see if he could hang on the door handles to the front/owner's cabin and the door handle screws came stripped out of the door. I pulled them both off (I'm guessing he tried both sides) and filled in the stripped holes with wood epoxy/putty (JB Weld for wood), but now I need to mount the door handles back on. The problem is, access to the screws which hold the main assembles on is covered and I can't figure out how to take the cover off. The handle on the right (top?) in the picture shows the insides where the screws are, but as you can see from the handle on the left (/bottom), there is a smooth face covering of the insides. There is a snap ring which looks to be holding the handle tight inside, but if I remove it it's not clear how I would get the ring back in place. I'm thinking that the door handles are probably constructed in a manner such that they can be removed even without a toddler yanking them off; I just can't figure out it would work. There is a hex nut on the underside of the handle, but that only tightens against the long square pin. www.23hq.com/Rdubsdubsr/photo/42764323/originalMany thanks for any ideas, 'Dubs

There is chrome cover over just on the side where is screw out, see dubbele skin and outer cower with screwdriver push out. There on outer cover is three blocking dents when you push in must be on same position.

Thanks Damir, knowing that helped. There were two little dents which cause that outer cover to snap in place. This is why I think there is a notch in the bottom of the door handle assembly, so you can take a small flathead screwdriver and pop off that cover. What I had to do was just tap the cover off the inner piece (it is on there securely), and then screwing in the assembly to the door was easy and held well using that JB Weld woody putty. Then when tightened down, place that outer ring cover over the inner mechanism, line up the two little dents with the notches, and snap it into place. Problem fixed, now have perfectly functioning door handles and no trace of a toddler hang-testing them.
