I have excessive wear in the P bracket shaft bearing on my 2 year old SO 37 and need to replace the bearing. The yard doing the job says it is a flanged unit and will have to be fabricated. On the Web I see off the shelf units for a fraction of the suggested fabrication cost. Does anyone know the possible suppliers and reference numbers for the original bearing? Any advice welcome.

Hi I am presuming you are talking about the cutless bearing rather than the whole P bracket.? If it is the later it is a major job to cut out and replacement, however the parts will be available from your Jeanneau dealer and there should be no need whatsoever to have anything fabricated If it is just the bearing it is a simple job, the prop needs to be pulled off but the bearing will then come out easily If you are not near a dealer Ian will send you parts from www.jeanneauspares.comMalcolm

Hello, It would make you wonder why the cutlass bearing would be worn out after two years?! Perhaps the shaft is slightly bent leading to excessive vibration? Trevor
