Leader 10 powered roof and handheld anchor controller

Hi All
First post on my Leader 10.
1.Powered roof has failed after a heavy bashing in wind over tide. Motor still whirrs OK and roof moves manually. Before I take it all to bits -- roof is heavy -- am I going to find a snapped drive belt or a jumped/damaged worm drive?
2. Wired handheld anchor controller has failed. UP button no longer finctions. Anchor windlass works fine from the cockpit button so I assume controller is faulty -- common issue??
