One of the first things I asked about the NC 11 was whether it had a freshwater supplied head - I was told it did. I didn't bother to inspect whether this was true until I noticed that familiar sea water smell in the new head - and sure enough the NC11 is seawater supplied. Considering a conversion.

A conversion would be a solution. Downsides: it will cost you and it will consume your limited fresh water supply. I reduced the smell problem by flushing the toilet with some fresh water from the shower ( when you extract it it just reaches the toilet) before I leave the boat after a trip. When I arrive at the boat after a longer period I will flush immediately a couple of times to get fresh outside water in the water supply hose: the water that has been standing in the hose for some time has a bad smell, the fresh seawater smells just like the rest of the sea......

Agreed- good advice, thanks. Looked into it - Simple split from cold water supply, maybe a solenoid to avoid siphoning - shouldn't be too dramatic to change, plan to do it when she goes out of water for season.
