Hi All, I wonder if anyone can help me please? My pressure & temperature release valve on the hot water system on my 2003 Jeanneau.37 is letting out hot water in various ammounts into the bilges. Sometimes when under power a whole tank in half an hour. I have tried to clean it by immersing it in an anti cal. solution to no avail. The valve is a Honeywell BS 6283/3 TP192 with a one and a quarter inch thread. I cannot find the address of anyone in England who can help me, or supply me. An e.mail address or phone No. would be much appreciated. John Shrive (RUNAWAY)

Hi, I suffer from the same problem. Last time it happened, I fiddled with the valve and presto; it's been problem free for two months. Not a bit of help, but I hope someone else has a more conventional fix to post!
Regards,

Hi, sailby4, Many thanks for the answer but I have done all that. It worked for a couple of days then failed again. I really need the address or telephone number of someone who sells Honeywell valves and can't seem to find anything. Cheers for now John

Similar experience on my 2005 SO35 finally traced to persistent preservative in the engine cooling system as supplied by Yanmar and not flushed out by Jeanneau . Engine overheated the calorifier so pressure release valve discharged hot fresh water into the bilge (up to a bucket an hour!). Required new modified heat exchanger and much flushing of cooling system. Took 2 years to sort! I have also been recommended to periodically activate the PRV by twisting it through a half turn flushing out any grit that might prevent the needle valve from seating correctly.

John,
you may try asking asap-supplies (either .com or .co.uk), they are very helpful with anything engine/plumbing/water/etc related
cheers
