Hi all I'm new to the forum and the new owner of a 2013 MF755. The steering is very stiff and could do with some pointers as to how to free it off - is it just a hydraulic fluid top up via the top of the steering rack? Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Not sure how stiff you mean but I would think low hydraulic fluid would be more likely to result in loose or indirect steering. If you're not used to this style of boat it may be a trim issue. My 795 steering is quite stiff at speed with engine trimmed in and needs to be trimmed out before it becomes easy to turn. Particularly applies for turn to port which goes against the natural engine torque. However if yours is also stiff at low speed there may be another more serious issue. If only at high speed then try trimming the engine out more. Good luck.

Thanks for the swift reply! The steering is stiff at low speeds also and the wheel turns with dull clicks when steering in both directions, not just at speed. Getting concerned now!
