hi my webasto heater switches off after about ten mins. any ideas anyone

At what level is your thermostat set? Does this cut out occur at all settings? Does the air at any individual vent feel particularly hot? Hard to advise without this info.

There must be a flash light showing the fault code. You can find fault codes in the manuel of webasto or just google "webasto fault coeds".

hi cant find thermostat as such theres just a black sensor near switch, the outlet nearest to heater gets very hot.

Finding your fault code differs depending on which controller (where you switch the heater on) you have. The simplest contriller has an led which flashes if there is a fault. You have to count the flashes to identify the fault code then look up the code in the manual (available online). If you have a timer controller there is a screen which will display the fault code directly.
