Yes looks good. I recently fixed one that had a slight problem with the wiper on the reostat that changes resistance when the float changes position in accordance with the fuel level. You can put a multimeter on the terminals and see the resistance change as the float changes position.

Hi All, I also replaced my VDO fuel sender this year. Jeanneau have them in stock, and from memory they wanted about £325 GBP for the replacement part!!! I then done the usual rounds... ebay, amazon and so on..... I then discovered that there are two types of senders on the market, European and American. Choosing between European and American resistance: A fuel level sender uses resistance to operate the fuel level gauge. The sender supplies the gauge with a resistance which the gauge then displays as a reading on the dial, but this can be either European or American resistance. A European resistance fuel level sender has a low output at empty and as the fuel level increases so will the resistance, while an American resistance fuel sender will have a high output at empty and the resistance will decrease as the fuel level increases. It is important to match the gauge with the correct sender, as a mix of European and American resistance will cause your gauge to read backwards! I ordered my sender from Brian Ward Marine (no relation of interest in this company) - They gave a great service and knew all about the resistant differences. They also supplied a genuine VDO sensor for £82.24 GBP Link to their page: www.brianwards.co.uk/gauges-and-senders/senders/fuel/vdo-fuel-sender-float-arm.htmlAlso, don't forget when the new VDO gauge arrives you WILL need to cut it to length!! all you need is a nice sharp hacksaw! Just for clarity - Jeanneau fit European senders to their fuel tanks. Link to the tech spec for your VDO fuel sender: (see page 2) www.vdo-gauges.com/media/instructions/VU26-0015-0535502%20Adjustable%20Fuel%20Lever%20Arm%20Sender%20Data%20Sheet.pdfAccording to the tech sheet (you should confirm that this is the correct one for you). But your sender range is 3 ohms (empty) < 180 ohms (full tank). If you fit a sender with the max ohm range of 90 ohm's - with a full tank of fuel it will only display half a tank on the your gauge. I hope this helps Best Regards Ian

Ian,
That is great information and it sounds like you had endured a fair bit of experience to gain that valuable information!
Thanks,

Thanks for all that good information. I have already ordered my VDO level sensor from Amazon and should arrive today. Hopefully when I instal it their won't be any drama. I will update after the installation sometime next week when I finally get to play on the boat again.
