Hi All,
I have a Prestige 36 (2005) and the water gauge is electronic - and not working!
It is a 'Kubler codix' gauge.
Does anyone know how I can source a replacement? RS (Radio Spares) sell them but there are lots of different versions but having taken mine out I don't know which one it is as there is no part number.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You are quite right about the gauge being available from RS, it is a standard unit and is fed by pulses from a water flow meter in the feed from the tanks. One pulse equals one litre of water having passed through. The problem is that the units are driven by an internal battery and not from the vessels 12 volt supply. They have a life of about 10 years and the batteries are not replaceable. I'm afraid it's a new meter. It took me a while to sort out but once it becomes clear the job is very easy. One problem with this system is that the meter reads up not down. That is it will tell you how much water you have used but not how much you have left. If you start with full tanks then you know you are starting with 400 litres and it's ok but if you start with less than full it becomes a bit of a guessing game. I can only determine the exact model of meter by looking at my last invoice for a meter I replaced about a year ago. I will have a look and post the model in a few days. regards, Napoleon

Hi again,
Have checked on my last invoice for the water gauge which I purchased from RS.
The RS Stock No. is: 4333758 - Codix 130 Non Backlit counter.
This comes with an on-board lithium battery which unfortunately is soldered onto the inner circuit board. I guess if it could be removed it would be possible to power up with the ships supply but then again if that is the case why didn't Jeanneau do it that way in the first place?
Just means a new unit every 10 years!
regards, Napoleon.

Hi jmw,
Just had a thought about why they use an on-board battery. If it was wired into the ships supply it would lose power when the ships batteries are turned off and so lose memory. Simple!

Hi Napoleon,
Thanks for your replies.
I took mine out this weekend and checked on RS website and you are absolutely correct with the product code 433-3758. Just in case anyone reads this in future I should also say the manufacture code (in case you order it from someone other than RS) is 6.130.012.852
I'll get mine ordered this week.
I note your comments about it counting up and not down. What a bonkers idea! Makes it fairly useless in practical terms but on my list to fix so i'll fix it anyway.
Thanks again.
Joe
