Hi,
We have a problem with the electric windlass. It simply stopped working and has hardly been used. I suspect the problem could be a blown fuse. The manual directs me to parts (59) Relays and (60) Control box located at the bow but I cant locate them.
Also the 12V charger on the electrical panel stopped working. Again, possibly a blown fuse.
We would be obliged if any one can direct us to location of these fuses on the boat or advise where the information can be got.
Regards
Owen

Have you checked the breaker switch for the windlass?
I'm not sure if there are any fuses, at least on my boat that I'm aware of,

If so on the very similar 39i there is a fuse - 7.5 amp for the windlass relay up forward - you have to remove the headliner from the underside - easy job - 2 screws and a tight fit worth checking the controller as well -they have plug in connections located in the anchor locker - difficult to see - easiest if you actually climb into the anchor locker -- could be a bad connection there of course also remember that it is probably wired so that it will only operate when the engine is running

Try and jump the solenoid relay using a car battery jump lead - centre terminal to either side, one for up one for down. Give yourself some spare chain before starting - 3m. Our issue was the through bulkhead connector which had corroded over 6 years and needed to be completely replaced. Ian
