Very nice. Good to think of sailing in better weather than currently in the UK

Very cool angles and great editing! Might I suggest that when you're off the wind, move the jib car forward two holes and/or tighten up the leech cord. Sorry, long time racer here, hard to let it go . David

Gorgeous boat! And nice video, she looks to be slicing through the sea with ease.

Sorry, long time racer here, hard to let it go . David Thank you! Of course you're right. But I was busy with everything else. But thanks. I have never received / taken any training, I ám self-taught when it comes to sailing. I have read a lot and try me up. so I am grateful for both tricks and praise. Regards Olof "Madicken of Sweden"

I doubt if GoPro really worth the price. Price not a big issue after they introduced HERO for 93GBP quality the same only WiFi is missing ... The issue is that Garmin has a lot more extras like GPS , can start and stop when not moving, can display speed, acceleration, path on google map, can work with vivofit smart, garmin watch with autopilot and can talk with all other garmin gadgets...

Hi madicken,
I am another admirer of your the great video and in particular the great editing. Congratulations.
After several years of using GoPro, first the early HD version, then recently with the added WiFi, I would not be without the WiFi, on the boat or on the slopes. I like the waterproof casing and it handles vibration reliably. I would like like an option for more zoom/less wide angle though. Not sure how much I would use connectivity with GPS and other gadgets, it would depend on what the editing software allowed me to do with them.
The biggest issue for me is editing software which is absolutely vital to the final result, preferably to DVD. I have used Pinnacle, ok but it leaves room for more user friendly alternatives. I am interested to know what everyone else has used, and are they happy with it?

Nice video as always Olof Price not a big issue after they introduced HERO for 93GBP quality the same only WiFi is missing ... Read more: jeanneau.proboards.com/post/20034/quote/3617#ixzz3QlXn9yHhI think that the sweet spot in the GoPro range is the Hero 4 silver with the built-in screen. I have the Hero 3 black & Hero 4 Black (I have the detachable screen). It is a bit annoying that they changed the battery design but I guess they had to for the silver. I'm tempted to sell my Hero 3 and replace it with the 4 Silver. The issue is that Garmin has a lot more extras like GPS , can start and stop when not moving, can display speed, acceleration, path on google map, can work with vivofit smart, garmin watch with autopilot and can talk with all other garmin gadgets... Perhaps if you already have the other Garmin gadgets it might be worth getting, but I'm not really sure if the "GPS , can start and stop when not moving, can display speed, acceleration, path on google map" features are that useful for sailing videos. They seem more useful for a ski run, a hot lap of a track or a mountain pass in a car/bike when the video is a continuous sequence. Whereas a continuous sequence on a sailing boat is pretty dull unless its a Volvo 65 surfing in the southern ocean, then the google maps and speed feature would be excellent

Thanks for all the nice comments!
If I were to buy a new camera today, I would have chosen a GoPro 4 with screen.
After trying some editing software, I can state that there don´t seem to be any easy work editing software. I want to be able to save the material on file, or DVD. I finally chose Magix Movie Edit Pro Plus 2015. It is not easy to working whit but easily worked editor program (whit what I want) seems not to be found, but I'm certainly no expert.
