Anyone know where I can find replacement filler caps that use the winch handle? Our local marine stores have some with the correct threads, but they are not large enough to fit the entire filler aperture. I would rather not buy the entire filler assembly, since we have three worn out caps to replace. I have changed the diesel filler cap with a stainless steel keyed cap, but I like to keep them different ever since a guest topped of my diesel tank with the water hose one time.

Tomatillo,
If you find a place to get them let me know. I want to replace my starboard water tank with a fuel tank and would sure hate to have the same problem you had.

I just converted a water tank to diesel and was able to get the deck fitting and cap from Jeanneau in France through the Jeanneau agent in 5 days! This was for a49ds. Regards PJ

The Jeanneau people told me that they no longer carry this part for a 43DS.

If the deck fills are made by Amiot, the caps can be purchased at www.rigrite.com in the US. Not cheap but worked as an replacement on our 40DS. Peter

I believe Amiot are now part of Goiot, who in turn are part of Navimo, who trade as Plastimo in Europe.... Anyway their range of deck fillers as fitted to many Jeanneau's can be seen at: www.goiot.com/bdd/pdf/41.pdfMalcolm

Did you replace the tank or just convert from water to Diesel? If convert did you mark the tank some way to indicate it was diesel?

Gemini I merely converted ( after consultation with Jeanneau in France ) but I replaced the deck filler with the diesel version ( different dimensions below deck ) and obviously all hoses were changed to fuel grade. PJ

My yard is also a Jeanneau dealer and doesn't stock the cap O-rings, which I found out this weekend, much to my chagrin. They're "special ordering" them - don't know how difficult this will be.
Considering the volume of Jeanneau product that they clear annually, it's surprising that they don't have such annual maintenance items on hand.
Or are others just not paying attention to O-ring deterioration?

My O-rings have been missing for some time, I cannot seem to get a response here in the US for these parts on these sites. Does anyone know a US source?

I needed an O ring for a speed transducer that went hay wire. Went to all the local marine supply stores, nothing........then the last one I went to, said go to the Ace hardware store around teh corner, they have a large suply of O rings. So went up and around the corner, they had a VERY large supply of O rings from 1/2" or about 1 cm for those on metric, clear up to 3" or 8 cm or there abouts with different thicknesses too.
While probably not helping you with your issue regarding the local dealer not having said items, but some hardware stores may have what you need. I have also seen a drawer of O rings at home depot, altho not as big a selection as the Ace I was in. True Value franchises, or Coast to Coast if they still exist are places to look too.
