Hi, I just wondered if anyone knew if there should actually be some sort of anode fitted to the lifting keel of a SO 32.2. There is a hole through the bottom edge of the keel and I'm not sure if it's meant to have some sort of anode fitted through it or if it's just there to help pull the keel down should it get stuck up. I assume the hole is there for a reason. The boat is out of the water at the moment and I'm replacing the anodes on the prop shaft, prop nut and hull (pear drop). The iron keel was quite rusty and I wondered if that was partly because there was once an anode on it, but that it had been eaten away and subsequently fallen off or whether iron keels always look pretty rusty when they come out of the water. The keel stub had a little rust starting to come through in places too but really quite minor by comparison and I can't see anywhere where an anode might be fitted to that anyway. Any ideas or suggestions would be very welcome, thank you, Gary.
