I have an ENO 2 burner oven of 1997/8 vintage. (model 042070) The burners are slightly smaller diameter than the ones on the later model. The problem is that the enamelled cast iron discs at the top of the burners are rusting away. They still have some life left but the big one in particular needs replacing. Spares of the correct size are no longer available. A suggested cure is to replace both the pot and cap with the slightly larger (100mm as against 93mm from memory) spares available for the later model. Has anyone done this, if so was it successful?
EDIT: An e-mail to ENO seeking spare parts has never been replied.

Thank you for the link. I had spotted that website before but forgotten the name. I have now noticed that some cookers have stainless burner caps. As the original size caps are no longer available and I have a lathe I might turn up a copy of one cap from stainless and see if it is successful.
