Does Jeanneau America offer any "kits" that might contain various teak pieces or other such parts or equipment, counter top moldings, panels, etc.
I have a 2001 Sun Odyssey 40 and could use the flat teak pieces on the side of the companionway and deck. I remove them every couple of years to strip and revarnish and they are showing their age.
Also, have replaced the safety valve on my water heater twice, before discovering NOT to leave the circuit on all the time and overheating the water. Be nice to have one as a spare.
Any general info would be appreciated.
I would image Jeanneau could do a pretty good parts business if they were interested.
Thanks

I used to have an 11 gallon seaward heater/boiler on board , always found it to be inadequate , meaning not enough. An upgrade was called for . With regards to safety I wanted to buy a real one ,however , there was simply not the room/space to get a bigger one in , no matter what brand or make . So the only option was to build one myself , I now have (since last year) a 60 liter boiler ,several coils for engine heating , solar/eberschacher heating (separated circuits) even added a magnesium rod which was not the case in my EOM boiler. I installed a safety relief valve ( infact I've installed several for security reasons) and bought the stuff here www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/208480308.html. I know there is the controversy (for different reasons) of buying stuf in /from China , but sofar all is well. If you leave the path of original parts you can save alot of money. That implies taking a look over the fence . Regards

Thanks for that advice and source.
I see some really nice work done in the hints and tips section and still wonder where the various moldings, etc. can be acquired. I'm sure my broker will have a good idea. I should be connecting with him soon as Spring arrives here in the Midwest USA.

having been in a seasonal business for some 30+ years, I will say, getting ahold of dealer sooner than later is better than waiting until spring. Many times parts or supplies you need have a 2-4 even 6 week time frame to get them. The wood part may be available, but if they need to come from France......you will have some time to wait to get them. Not everything can be shipped fed express and arrive the next day in a reasonable cost for shipping etc.
If Jeanneau is not able to supply the wood parts, you may have to have a local person make them, again, this will be a 2-4 week process depending upon the who has to make them etc.
just my 02 on the subject.
