Hello all, I am the recent (about a year) and proud owner of a 91, 42' Jeanneau Sun Odyssey. I am the 3rd owner and am very fortunate that there have been little to no modifications done to her. Does anyone have any tid-bits of information that I may need to know or just general information they may have discovered? The only specific information I would really like to know is the mast height.
Anyone in the US, Pacific NW area? I am in Olympia, WA.
Just wanted to say hello and I seem to have found a home. ;D
Take care, Brainburn (Mike)

Mike,
If you can make it, there is a PNW Jeanneau owners roundesvous at Poets Cove, the 3rd weekend i n June. Currently the longest running one in NAmerical. Sponsored by Marine Sevcenter in Seattle and Fraser yacht sales in Vancouver BC. Fraseryachtsales.com has a sign up sheet online.
There are quite a few Jeanneau owners here inthe puget sound region.

Mike: Welcome to the wonderful world of Jeanneau! I also have a 91 SO 42.1. The mast height on mine is 51' above the deck. I figure about 60' over all (antenna and other stuff atop the mast. We absolutely love ours. I've added and changed alot of stuff (maybe a little overboard), but it's the way I wanted it. We are now liveaboards, currently in Fl preparing to cross to the Bahamas for the winter. Here's the link to our blog. Anything you'd like to know, just ask. Hey guys, I knew this would be worth the cost of the registration fee. MartyB, Hit the site and it looks like a blast. Thank you very much for the information. I am looking forward to the next one. bottleinamessage, Thank you for the mast information. I had been planning for 70' +/- for tide. It has always bothered me. Holy Crap! You have been busy. Oh and by the way.. darn you and your @%#$$*& "The interior make over ". ;D It has been burning in the back of my mind since I ran across it about 6 mo ago. Outstanding job! I have to admit. It is a bit surreal to see the interior of "my" boat in a before and after state. (Want to hear something sad?.. I ran across it, yanked it to pdf, printed it and read it all the time.)(Want to hear something sadder?.. It currently resides in my nightstand along with the rest of my "read all of the time before sleep" pile)I have a ton of questions and would happily sling them your way of you dont mind. Additionally, thank you for taking the time to compile and post the information. I had pulled it to pdf in case it went away as many do. Keep up the good work. Brainburn

Mike, Redoing the interior is not all that hard. If you look at hints and tips, I have some of the redo to my Arcadia. I have not sent interior pics yet with new cusions. lets see if this works....... This is after the new cusions. Starboard side looking into the Vee berth. Only took me three times to make it work, so with that, here is port side looking forward. Hope to see you around the sound someday! Marty

Mike: Sure, feel free and ask away! Will be crossing to the Bahamas soon, so internet access will be very limited. Jay
