hi there,I'm moving one of these in a couple of weeks and looking for some advice, if anyone has sailed this type of boat before or would know how much fuel it would burn an hour at cruising revs? its got a Yanmar 4jH4 HTE 110hp. Or if you were lucky enough to be sailing the whole time and just using the genset to charge batteries, how much would it use an hour. Its an Onan 7kw/1500 rpm.
Also what speed would you be hoping to make at cruising revs, and if you were passage planning what speed would you be hoping for under sail, I was guessing averaging about 7knots?
thank you.

Gordon I would start with one of the skippered charter yachts Malcolm

I was sailing or more like motoring on one a couple of weeks ago and I suggest you need to allow for 2 to 3 gallons an hour at around 2000revs. At full rev's then even more. I can't say how much the gen set used as we were motoring more than sailing. Luckily we had two fuel tanks. We made 6-7kts at 1500 revs.
