It seems there is no one home when you email Jeanneau America customer service. I never get a response. Is this the way they treat everyone or am I special?

It seems there is no one home when you email Jeanneau America customer service. I never get a response. Is this the way they treat everyone or am I special? the following response was just made by another USA owner on the Sailnet forum : I've spoken with several people at Jeanneau America office over the past 5 years and have gotten very good service and am very pleased with their help. I suggest that you might try to reach them by phone and this time of year when they attend boat shows in various parts of the US, be a little patient as they might not be in their office at the time of your call. They have a small staff but do give good service and want to help you.

I have asked Jeanneau Customer Service in France several simple questions and they won't reply. The dealer doesn't know the answers. I did have one success though when I threatened to buy an Elan and that got a response!

I've had trouble getting a response to issues, but once someone took hold of an issue they did follow it through and give good service. In once case I emailed a request for information on where I could buy a 2nd manual for my 43DS and was about to send a nastygram after a couple of weeks when a manual showed up in my mailbox! On another occasion I was in need of a new rudder (having lost mine at sea) and once we established communications Jeanneau was quite helpful in getting it to me.
