My lift keel lower block (pulley) has failed. The boat is currently ashore and the keel is part way down if I get the boat lifted so that the keel extends to the fully down position will i be able to see the lower attachment point and replace all required. I have removed the upper access point and can see the upper block and rope attachment point however it is the lower attachment point that I am worried about, that and doing the job. Any help or advise would be most welcome.

Hi daveknight3, I have a drawing of the SO32 system (rev A 05/06/02). I assume it is the latest as I received it around 2008. You will know if it matches your view through the upper access hatch.
It is a more complex system than my 30i and not easy to describe, so I cannot answer your questions other than by the drawing. If you send me an email address in a PM I will send it to you, as I am sure it will help you plan the job. (Malcolm, I can send it to you as well if you like, but I found the instructions to upload too daunting! I would prefer using email)
Keel is 80 kg in air and I suggest will need to be let down, if not removed, so you need some jacking equipment and help. I would replace all components and ropes as they are all the same age and number of uses.
Other owners may be able to contribute more experience of SO32 Rene460
